Medics are a medium-sized team that work close to each other to ensure the attendees general health and to assist with medical issues when needed.

Lone

Security is one of the largest teams in the convention and makes sure the Attendees feel safe, are taken care of and can enjoy the convention without external interruption. The team assures this by checking badges and approaching people when needed.

Echo

We are the first faces that attendees see when arriving at the convention. Our medium-sized team helps set up, handle and process registrations while also sorting merchandise. Some general queue management and registration customer service is also part of the process.

Crystal

Here at Con-Ops we are the heart and information hub for both attendees and staff. A small, close-knit team working to make your con experience just a little bit smoother.

Nera

The Art Show department is one of the newest departments to Furnavia, and is currently a small and close-knit team. If you’ve visited our Dealers Den, you have likely also seen the Art Show! Here, artists of all sizes, popularity and media can display and sell their items via a silent auction - perfect for the artists who would like to dip their toe into vending at conventions, but are not quite ready to apply for a table. If you would like to help set up an awesome little gallery for artists to show off and sell their work, check out this department!

Egylon & Zaliphyr

A large loose team that helps organize and assisting with events during the convention, general support of all the events.

Nimalen

The Ceremonies Sub-Department is part of Events and is a medium-sized team with people closely working together to set up the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well as connected events.

We are looking for Actors to perform on stage and bring the story to life. As an actor you need to be able to learn several lines of text, speak clear English and have time during the summer as well as during the con to take part in (online) rehearsals. Hit us up and become part of a motivated team that looks forward to expanding the story of our Mascots.

Blacki Dogfox

A medium-sized team that works closely with each other for building an efficient space for suiters to cool down, store their belongings and maintain the well-being during their stay at the convention.

KoboltWuff

Bits, bytes and everything nice! A medium-sized team that runs the website, digital infrastructure, as well as all software and makes them available to the crew.

We’re a bunch of friendly, slightly chaotic (in a good way!) stage enthusiasts who love operating, running and bringing the stage to life at Furnavia. Whether you're a professional or not. Or you're into tech, events, or just curious about what happens behind the scenes, and want to help, we’d love to have you with us!

Open Positions:

Audio:

Advanced knowledge of live audio systems (Allen & Heath, Dante, audio infrastructure).

Video Broadcast & Video Camera Operators:

Beginner to intermediate experience with camera operation and basic broadcast.

Rigging & Multitasking:

Beginner to intermediate stage rigging and general stage help. It is a great starting point for anyone wanting to learn and "advance" to another position within the stage team.

You don’t need to be a pro — we’re happy to teach and learn together.

Nimalen

Animal Resources - or AR - is a small/medium and quite close-knit department. The members make sure that everyone in the crew are happy, safe and that no one decides to be a bad dog - at least not when “at work”. How bad you are outside of this is your business. AR have regular meetings together to discuss and compare notes, but a lot of the work is done independently. Members of AR also handle attendee complaints, and work closely with other departments, as well as the Board.

The Arcade is a close-knit medium-sized team where you can help to re-live your childhood! We have a number of consoles and games for you to enjoy and try, all hooked up, just like the old days!

Charity is one of our smallest departments - maybe you will help it grow? The department works to secure a new charity each year that Furnavia will try to collect donations for. If you love the non-profit space, talking to people and want to give back to others, then this might be the perfect fit for you.

Akeyseia

Decorations is a small loose group where we plan, create/request/retrieve, install and remove the decoration of the con space.

Lyosha

The Dealers Den (DD) crew is a small/medium team that work quite close together. They make sure that all the Dealers and artists are happy, cared for and comfortable. They also make sure that the Den and Artist Alley runs smoothly during the convention, and work closely with the Dealers to improve both the artists’ and attendee’s experience for each year.

Groovy Kath

The Design Department is a large team that creates visual elements and ensures a coherent artistic presentation for the convention. We bring each year's theme to life through storytelling and fun designs. Collaborating with other departments in need of artwork. Working on everything from graphic design and merchandise, to smaller artworks such as Telegram stickers!

Sarah

The Guest of Honour Department is a small team that oversees all matters related to Furnavia’s invited guests, including Guests of Honour, featured artists, speakers, and distinguished community members.

Macklabben

The Logistics team is very small, and is mainly responsible to make sure Furnavia’s physical belongings end up where they’re supposed to go. They transport all our equipment to the convention space and back into storage after the convention ends. It might sound like a small part, but Furnavia would not be as functional without them.

Lyosha

The merch team is small and closely knit together. Have you seen the amazing merch Furnavia has had to offer - both in the welcome bags and for sale? Well, that is thanks to this department. They find us the best manufacturers and make sure there is enough to go around. They also supply Toffee with her treasures for her Trove!

Amatsuba

The Social Media Team is a medium-sized team, and also has a few Sub-Departments. Have you ever seen the awesome posts FNV puts out on Instagram, Facebook or the likes? We can thank our SoMe department for those. They curate, edit and post pictures and short videos for the convention, as well as moderate the Social Media channels. If you’re interested in media and would like to help represent FNV online, this might be the department for you!
